Ryan Walmsley appointed president of Lexicon’s Fabrication Group

Lexicon Inc. promoted Ryan Walmsley as president of the company’s Fabrication Group.

A Lexicon employee since 2019, Walmsley has nearly 20 years of experience in the steel industry. Working out of the company’s headquarters in Little Rock, he will lead the Fabrication Group, which includes Custom Metals, Prospect Steel and Steel Fabricators of Monroe. In this role, he will lead the fabrication and erection teams on commercial and industrial projects from conception to completion.

“With extensive experience in industrial and commercial fabrication, Ryan’s steady, focused leadership style perfectly positions him to step into this new role as the leader of our company’s largest business lines,” said Steve Grandfield, COO of Lexicon. “There are exciting opportunities ahead for our Fabrication Group, and I am confident that under Ryan’s leadership, it will achieve much success.”

Since joining Lexicon as the Fabrication Group vice president, Walmsley has been part of numerous projects, including the fabrication and erection of the new Tesla manufacturing facility in Austin, Texas (45,000 tons); fabrication of a new steel mill in Brandenburg, Kentucky for Nucor (20,000 tons); multiple large Amazon sortation buildings in multiple states (each totaling over 20,000 tons); and fabrication of a new steel mill in Osceola, for Big River Steel (30,000 tons).

Before joining the company, he served in many roles, including project manager and director of sales and estimating at LPR Construction Co. in Loveland, Colorado. Walmsley graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in construction management.
