Hotel property sale the top Sebastian County property deal in December

A $2.45 million sale of the Rodeway Hotel at 2123 Burnham Road was the top Sebastian County property deals in December, according to info from the office of Sebastian County Assessor Zach Johnson.

The hotel, located near the McDonald’s restaurant on Rogers Avenue near Interstate 540, was sold by Sunny Management LLC and Magan Hotels to Sunshine Hotel LLC. Magan is based in Van Buren and owned by Pinakin Patel. Sunshine Hotel is based in Fort Smith and owned by Hiren Patel.

The top 10 deals in December had a combined deal value of $6.995 million.

A $20.387 million sale of the new Veterans Affairs Clinic in Fort Smith and associated property was the largest Sebastian County property deal in 2022. (See list at end of story for the top five Sebastian County property deals in 2022.) The deal closed Sept. 8. The 49,500-square-foot VA Clinic, located at 5700 Phoenix Ave., was completed in early 2021, with the building permit valued at $15.7 million.
