First Security acquires property near I-430 for new Little Rock HQ
First Security Bancorp has purchased property from Fidelity National Information Services Inc. (FIS) on Rodney Parham Road near I-430 in Little Rock, where it will establish its Little Rock headquarters.
The Searcy-based financial institution made the announcement on Thursday (Dec. 15).
The campus at 4001 Rodney Parham Road will include 275,000 square feet of office space on 31 acres of land in a prime Little Rock location. First Security is acquiring 31 acres and three of the four office buildings in the deal. FIS maintains the large seven-story building and approximately 15 acres of the property.
The new location for First Security will house administrative and sales offices for First Security Bank Little Rock and Crews & Associates, First Security Bancorp’s investment banking firm. Those offices are currently in downtown Little Rock at First Security Center on President Clinton Avenue and in west Little Rock at The Ranch on Arkansas Highway 10.
“First Security Bancorp continues to invest in central Arkansas, and we are glad to find an existing building that meets our holding company’s needs,” First Security Bancorp chairman Reynie Rutledge said. “This new Little Rock home offers an opportunity for us to secure space for future growth, and we are very excited about the potential.”
The property purchase was brokered through Cushman & Wakefield/Sage Partners, working with FIS and Colliers Arkansas on behalf of First Security. The deal closed Thursday.
FIS provides First Security Bancorp’s core banking system and has been a partner for more than 40 years.
“Our relationship with FIS is integral to this project and will continue in the future,” Rutledge said. “Their partnership with First Security in providing banking services is a big key to our success.”
The space will be renovated for First Security Bancorp’s needs and will be occupied in 2023. Windstream Communications will maintain its company headquarters on this campus.
Other office space and property plans are still being developed as First Security Bancorp determines how the additional space can best be utilized.
“First Security and Crews & Associates are excited about the synergies and closer working environment this move will provide not only our company, but our business partners, as we look forward to the future growth of our company,” Rutledge said.
