Former PSC Chair Ted Thomas launches consulting firm, lands utility software company Recurve
Former Arkansas Public Service Commission chairman Ted Thomas has formed a consulting firm to capitalize on his years of experience in the utility and regulatory industry.
On Wednesday (Nov. 16), Thomas and utility software firm Recurve announced an agreement to collaborate.
Thomas will be a senior market advisor and will support Recurve in identifying and analyzing regulatory and market opportunities across the U.S.
Recurve produces applications that specializes in home energy audits and green energy remodeling for existing homes. Its products are designed on an open-source platform to help utilities leverage smart meter data to measure energy usage and the impact of efficiency and demand flexibility on the grid.
“Recurve sets the pace in AMI data analytics and baselining. I am thankful for the opportunity to be part of the Recurve team,” Thomas said.
“Commissioner Thomas is a great source of thoughtful insights on any number of topics, from data access to market operations. He complements our team greatly as we are exploring new opportunities in supply-side markets and optimizing the energy transition across the country,” said Carmen Best, VP of Policy & Emerging Markets.
Thomas has served in the Arkansas legislature, as a senior governor’s staffer and as both an Administrative Law Judge and Chair of the Arkansas Public Service Commission.
