Developers announced a $70 million upscale apartment complex Wednesday (Sept. 14) for the Rockwater community in the Argenta district of downtown North Little Rock.

The project will include 360 units and will be known as “The Resort at Rockwater.” Construction is set to begin immediately and is estimated to be complete by Fall 2024.

The development is a joint venture of local firms led by Moses Tucker Partners, in conjunction with TerraForma, and Jim Jackson & Lisa Ferrell.

“We are excited to be a part of this residential community that will bring upwards of 500 new residents to downtown North Little Rock,” said Chris Moses, President & CEO of Moses Tucker Partners. “We are also being environmentally conscious to the area, such as protecting the loved magnolia tree on the property.”

Moses Tucker Partners and TerraForma teamed together to build The Vue on Riverfront apartments just east of the Resort site, which opened in the summer of 2021.

The Resort project is expected to be “amenity-rich” and will include views of the riverfront and downtown Little Rock.

“This property will build on the vibrant urban cores of both Little Rock and North Little Rock. The site is within walking distance of Dickey-Stephens Park and Main Street Argenta,” said Lisa Ferrell.

In addition to the above-mentioned development companies, the project team includes Central Construction Group, WDD Architects, Thomas Engineering, and Ecological Design Group. Construction financing is being provided by Simmons Bank.
