Republican Party of Arkansas announces staff hires
The Republican Party of Arkansas announced three new staff members.
Amber Crawford will serve as communications director, Seth Mays will serve as victory director, and Gabrielle Harvey has joined as an administrative assistant. Mays’ role will coordinate campaign activities between local, state and federal candidates and the party.
Crawford, a Greenbrier native, is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, and The Campaign School at Yale. Prior to joining the Republican Party of Arkansas, she worked as a policy analyst for Arkansas Secretary of State John Thurston.
Previously, she served as the 2020 political director for French Hill for Arkansas, and as a field director for the Republican Party of Arkansas during the 2016 presidential election.
Mays attended Mansfield High School and graduated from Arkansas Tech University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and an associate’s degree in criminal justice.
In his senior year of college, Mays was named political director for Gov. Asa Hutchinson’s 2018 campaign for re-election, which resulted in the largest win percentage for a four-year governor and the most counties won by a Republican nominee.
Following the 2018 cycle, he moved to Washington, D.C. to work for the Republican National Committee in local and national communications, where he interacted with media outlets across the nation. He moved back to Arkansas to be senior political director for the Republican Party of Arkansas during the 2020 election. He has also worked for JCD Consulting and is a former state chair of the Arkansas Federation of College Republicans.
Harvey is native of Hot Springs and a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas with bachelor’s degrees in political science and public administration. She attends the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where she is enrolled in the Masters of Public Administration Program. She is the State Chair of the Arkansas Federation of College Republicans.
