Medical buildings top Sebastian County property deals in May

Ownership changes with medical properties were the top Sebastian County property deals in May, with four properties owned by Rodney and Stuart Ghan and Bob Cooper selling for a combined $9.751 million to Darrell Robinson and Dusty Duke of Fort Smith.

The property transactions at 6100 Massard, 520 Towson Ave., 5500 Ellsworth Road, and 5428 Ellsworth Road were recorded May 12, according to info from the office of Sebastian County Assessor Zach Johnson. All four of the properties are rented by Baptist Health-Fort Smith and are clinics for the hospital system.

Medical Investments Fort Smith LLC, representing the Ghans and Cooper, sold the three properties to Live Oak Manor Continuation LLC, which is owned by Robinson and Duke.

The Ghans and Cooper, along with Kathleen Caldarera, also acquired former hotel property at 101 N. 11th St., in downtown Fort Smith from WWA Company Inc. for $1.57 million.

The largest single property deal for the year is the $6.7 million January transaction for the property on which Red Lobster is located. Because I Love Horses LLC sold the property on Jan. 24 to 1120 South Walton Partners LLC. Corporate records show Fort Smith businessman Kane Whitt as organizer of 1120 South Walton Partners.
