Bentonville-based outdoor apparel company LIVSN Designs recently launched an equity crowdfunding campaign as it looks to release five products this year.

Those who invest in the Wefunder crowdfunding campaign receive company shares and perks. According to the Wefunder site, people had invested more than $225,000 in LIVSN in the first morning of the campaign. The investment goal is $1 million, the site shows.

“We want to bring our customers, friends and community into the company as investors,” CEO Andrew Gibbs-Dabney said. “With our background in traditional crowdfunding, the opportunity is high because we have a community of people who are already engaged and feel invested in what we’re doing, so we want to make that a reality.”

Wefunder allows companies to receive up to $5 million via crowdfunding campaigns. The site shows the minimum investment is $100, and perks start at $250 investments. A $500 investment includes a lifetime 20% discount on products, and a $25,000 investment includes a multi-day outdoors trip with the LIVSN team.

With $25,000 invested, the lead investor is Hank Henderson, board member and former CEO of Rogers-based America’s Car-Mart, according to the Wefunder site.

“I believe in the concept, the product and the team,” Henderson said. “LIVSN is genuinely focused on offering the best outdoor pants ever. The ‘live simply’ lifestyle and the commitment to sustainability are mindsets I want to support.”

According to the site, investors are betting LIVSN will be worth more than $7.2 million. The campaign is expected to lead up to the launch of a Kickstarter campaign to release LIVSN’s Ventile Jacket, made of all-natural materials.

Other apparel to be released this year include its first women’s products: Trail Tights and Flex Canvas Pants. Other men’s products include Flex Canvas Overalls and Reflex Shorts.

In 2021, revenue exceeded $1 million, and wholesale sales rose by 447%. The latter comprised sales to Moosejaw, Backcountry and about 60 outdoor retailers, including Pack Rat Outdoor Center in Fayetteville. The Wefunder site shows revenue is projected to rise to nearly $17 million by 2026.
