Connections: Harps promotes 6 to VP role

Springdale-based Harps Food Stores Inc. recently announced the promotions of several directors to departmental vice presidents.

Robert Acord was promoted to vice president of pharmacy, Layne Chastain to vice president of meat and seafood, Mike Roberts to vice president of produce, Hydie Hale to vice president of bakery and deli, Shannon Kincade to vice president of general merchandise and Randall Harp to vice president of distribution and grocery procurement.

The promotions were effective Jan. 3.

Harps started in 1930 and is the largest employee-owned company in Arkansas with more than 5,000 employees and 120 grocery stores in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas.
