Arkansas Manufacturing Solutions, Arkansas District Export Council to host webinar on trade with Canada

Arkansas Manufacturing Solutions and the Arkansas District Export Council will sponsor a free webinar focusing on U.S. trade with Canada on Tuesday, April 26.

The U.S., Mexico and Canada updated NAFTA to create the new USMCA in 2020. This new free trade agreement contains enhancements and modernized approaches to rules of origin, agricultural market access, intellectual property, digital trade, financial services, labor, and numerous other sectors which has created new opportunities for companies to do business with Canada, a joint press release stated.

Several experts will lead the webinar.

Martin Claessens, principal commercial officer at the U.S. Commercial Service in Toronto, currently manages a team of trade and investment professionals focusing on helping U.S. companies enter the Canadian market as well as helping Canadian companies invest in the U.S.

Rudy Ortiz, management consultant with Strategic Business Services, assists companies in a wide variety of business-related areas as well as their international business/exporting needs and training. He is a certified Global Business Professional as well as a U.S. Department of Commerce Certified Export and Trade Counselor and is fluent in Spanish.
