Largest Sebastian County property deal in February includes Riverside Furniture, Baldor

A $1.6 million sale of some or all of a former trucking company headquarters building and property to Fort Smith-based Riverside Furniture was the largest Sebastian County property transaction in February. Baldor Electric Co. was the seller and the deal closed Feb. 14.

The property, located at 7501 Jenny Lind Road in Fort Smith, was acquired by Baldor in March 2010 following the bankruptcy of C. Bean Transport. In a deal then valued at $8.7 million, Baldor, now ABB, acquired 32.9 acres that included a 16,500-square-foot office building, a 20,500-square-foot truck repair facility with six bays, a parts warehouse and a truck washing facility, and 146,000-square-foot of warehouse space.

The deal with Riverside included only the office building and the truck repair facility.

The second largest property transaction was a $1.505 million deal in which Peachtree Village at 1500 Fresno St. was sold to 1500 Fresno St. LLC. A corporation records search with the Arkansas Secretary of State did not find the listed LLC. The deal closed Feb. 2.

Peachtree is an assisted retirement facility, and the company has locations in Fort Smith, Farmington and Holiday Island.
