Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation adds two to board
The Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation announced Thursday (Jan. 27) that Melissa Bradley and Vicki Saviers have been elected to its board of directors for three-year terms that began in January 2022.
Bradley is Assistant Vice President at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in Little Rock. Saviers founded the Public Education Foundation of Little Rock and was its first executive director prior to serving as a member of the Arkansas State Board of Education.
“As WRF continues to relentlessly pursue equity in Arkansas,” said Sherece Y. West Scantlebury president and CEO of the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation. “We look forward to the leadership and expertise that Melissa and Vicki will provide.”
The WRF Board also reappointed two board members for second terms and elected officers for 2022.
Terry Mazany of the Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta and Sharon Toomer, a member of New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ transition team, will each serve a second term. Dr. Chris Cardona of the Ford Foundation was elected Board Chairman; Dr. Charlotte Parham of the University of Central Arkansas will serve as Vice Chairman; and Cedric Williams, Mayor of Forrest City, Arkansas, will serve as Secretary.
Chris Vincent and Mike Malone completed their board terms in December 2021.
