LRCVB adds, promotes marketing and sales team

The Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau (LRCVB) announced Monday (Nov. 8) three marketing and sales team transitions with the addition of Stasha King Irby as its new destination services manager, and the promotions of Libby Doss Lloyd to director of communications and Seth Eli Barlow to content manager.

In the destination services manager role, Irby will manage and oversee leisure and group travel activities and services for the LRCVB and work to develop strategies to increase visitor attendance, spending, and customer satisfaction. She will also help develop and implement new and innovative service programs to best serve the LRCVB’s clients and cultivate industry partnerships.

Irby started her hospitality career at The Peabody Little Rock in 2010. Over the past 11 years, she has held roles in the hospitality industry that range from sales manager to global account manager while living in New Orleans and Houston.

As the director of communications, Lloyd will oversee the LRCVB’s communication and media relations strategies, including pitching news outlets, hosting travel writers, and organizing media familiarization tours. Since joining LRCVB in November 2012, she has helped host more than 200 journalists and influencers, and has served as a community liaison, media spokesperson and brand ambassador trainer.

Lloyd brings to this role 18 years of experience in the tourism and economic development industries. She is accredited in public relations by the Public Relations Society of America Universal Accreditation Board, serves on the Destinations International PR & Communications Task Force, is certified as a Professional in Destination Management, and is a Leadership Greater Little Rock Class XXX graduate.

In the content manager position, Barlow will oversee the creation process of the LRCVB’s physical and digital deliverables. He will serve as the primary writer for LRCVB internal and external communications including print, video and online materials, and ensure messaging meets organizational goals, and brand standards and guidelines.

Previously as LRCVB’s content creator, Barlow earned a Henry Award for Excellence in Arkansas Tourism for inventive social media use at the 2020 Governor’s Conference on Tourism. Barlow’s writing has appeared in multiple publications, and has won numerous awards including the 2019 the Magazine Writer of the Year by the International Regional Magazine Association.
