Lauren Waldrip to lead Arkansas Advanced Energy Association, affiliate group
The Arkansas Advanced Energy Association (AAEA) and its educational affiliate the Arkansas Advanced Energy Foundation (AAEF) announced Wednesday (Sept. 1) that Lauren Waldrip has been selected as executive director of both groups effective today.
Waldrip previously served as partner at Campbell Ward along with Becky Barnes Campbell, who will continue to manage the firm and its clients.
Waldrip brings over seven years of experience in public affairs and public relations conducting trade association management, political action committee planning, membership management, policy activities, development, fundraising, media relations, communications and event planning.
During that time, she engaged in advocacy efforts with the Arkansas Public Service Commission through her capacity as executive director of the Arkansas Rice Federation.
“Lauren’s previous experiences coupled with her untraditional approach and big-picture mindset make her an ideal fit for the future growth of our organization,” said Heather Nelson, President of Seal Solar and board chair for AAEA. “We are proud to have her leadership during such a pivotal time in our industry.”
“From a development and educational standpoint, Lauren has demonstrated a strong track record and will be a significant asset in those arenas on our team,” said Flint Richter, Director of Solar Division for Entegrity and board chair for AAEF. “She will provide valuable direction as we raise funds and awareness to further our mission and cause.”
“I have admired the progressive work of this sector from the sidelines for years while noticing the extensive benefits recognized across the industry far beyond their membership,” said Waldrip. “I’m eager to tell that story in a way that enables our continued growth as the voice of advanced energy in Arkansas.”
