Developers broke ground Aug. 16 on the latest building to go vertical in the Johnson Square development east of Interstate 49 in Johnson.
Medical Building-Johnson Square is a $5 million build-to-suit, medical office building by High Street Real Estate & Development.
The two-story, 21,738-square-foot building at 3623 Johnson Mill Blvd. has 19,996 square feet of rentable space. High Street principals Ward Davis and Morgan Hooker and Dr. Susan Averitt, owner of Best Start Pediatrics in Springdale, are the building owners.
Best Start Pediatrics and Eason Counseling & Associates are initial tenants. Construction is expected to be complete by June 2022. C.R. Crawford Construction of Fayetteville is the general contractor. Oelke Construction of Springdale is handling the site work. The building design is a collaboration by Brown Design Studio of Savannah, Ga., and SCM Architects of Fayetteville. Little Rock-based Encore Bank is financing the construction.
Johnson Square is an 80-acre, mixed-use neighborhood of homes, professional offices and retail shops. It’s valued at approximately $200 million and situated mostly to the north of Johnson Mill Boulevard.
