The Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau will host a jobs fair for hospitality and tourism workers on Tuesday, May 4 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Statehouse Convention Center.

Noting that the hospitality industry has endured a challenging year under the COVID-19 pandemic, the jobs fair aims to connect dislocated workers with rebounding job opportunities.

The Arkansas economy lost approximately 44,000 jobs due to the pandemic, many in the leisure and hospitality sector.

“As COVID clouds begin to clear, the state’s hospitality industry needs more workers to help regain its position as a $7.4 billion economic force in Arkansas. The ‘Big On Little Rock Hospitality Industry Job Fair’ represents the best opportunity yet for workers who lost their jobs in 2020 as well those Arkansans looking to enter the hospitality workforce for the first time,” said Gretchen Hall, President and CEO of the LRCVB.

Representatives from sectors across the industry – restaurants, hotels, attractions, event venues – will be in attendance and seeking qualified employees for jobs in accounting, administration, management, sales, event set-up, front desk, security, housekeeping, serving, bartending, cooking, groundskeepers, and more.
