Downtown Bentonville Inc. hires Dana Sargent Schlagenhaft as communications director

Bentonville nonprofit Downtown Bentonville Inc. (DBI) announced Monday (Jan. 11) the hiring of Dana Sargent Schlagenhaft as communications director. She will continue to serve in her current role as executive producer of DWTN Media, DBI’s digital storytelling project.
“Dana brings vast experience in mission-driven communication and passion for our community — but far more important than that, she brings heart,” DBI executive director Andrew Heath said in a statement. “Dana’s professional background as a small business owner, marketing consultant, and former local news anchor/producer will be a great addition to our team as we navigate 2021.”
Sargent Schlagenhaft will begin the job immediately. Heath said communications director is a new position for DBI.
“As a thirty-year Bentonville resident, it’s a huge honor to join Downtown Bentonville, Inc.,” Sargent Schlagenhaft said. “I look forward to working with our energetic staff, supporters and partners to create memorable experiences for our community, support the investments and businesses that make our downtown vibrant, and continue to tell the unique story of Bentonville via DWTN Media.”
