The University of Arkansas in Fayetteville will hold in-person fall commencement ceremonies Dec. 17-19 for graduates from all 2020 semesters, with proper social distancing and mask-wearing guidelines.

“It has been a challenging year for all of us, so I’m really looking forward to fall commencement and the opportunity to recognize our graduates who all worked hard to make it to the finish line,” Chancellor Joe Steinmetz said in a statement Tuesday (Oct. 13). “While seating will be limited, I couldn’t be happier that our plans include family and guests as a part of this important milestone event.”

The number of ceremonies for each college will depend on the number of students attending, according to a UA news release. By the end of November, students will be assigned a time to attend their ceremony and will be emailed six tickets for their family and guests for that specific ceremony time.
