Murphy USA gifts $10 million to charitable foundation, $750,000 to United Way

El Dorado-based Murphy USA donated $10 million to its charitable foundation and matched $375,000 raised by employees for the Union County United Way.

As part of its 2020 home office United Way kickoff campaign, Murphy USA employees raised $375,000 for the local United Way organizations, which was matched by the company.

Additionally, Murphy USA announced a $10 million gift to the Murphy USA Charitable Foundation. The foundation aims to help El Dorado and Southern Arkansas communities with local nonprofit and quality of life projects.

“In the midst of everything that has happened in 2020, I couldn’t be more proud of our generous customers and engaged employees who have truly stepped up to help these organizations make a positive impact in a time of need to the communities we serve and support together,” said Murphy USA President and CEO Andrew Clyde.

Murphy USA Inc. is a retailer of gasoline and convenience merchandise with nearly 1,500 stores located primarily in the Southwest, Southeast and Midwest United States. The company has nearly 10,000 employees across its network of retail gasoline stations in 25 states.

It is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
