GEICO opens first local office in NWA

A national insurance leader has opened an office in Bentonville.

GEICO opened an office at 1706 S.E. Walton Blvd., Suite 6. Josiah Dodson will lead the office, which has six employees. The office is the company’s second in Arkansas. The other is in North Little Rock.

Before opening the Bentonville office, Dodson worked at several of the company’s corporate offices for 15 years as a lead trainer. During that time, he oversaw training programs for sales and service agents working in the GEICO Insurance Agency, the company’s business unit that sells coverage for homeowners, renters and many other insurance types.

Because the office is opening during a pandemic, a GEICO spokesman said customers must make an appointment before visiting and wear a mask upon entering the lobby. All staff members wear masks when working with customers as well.
