Class of 2020 Forty Under 40 Casey Weatherford Owner & Brand Storyteller Kind Creative Co., Bentonville

Casey Weatherford helps women-led companies and organizations tell their brand stories.

“I want to work with women so that they know their work matters, to amplify their voices, their reach, [and] their impact by connecting what they are doing to the people they want to reach,” she said.

The Wynne native has provided marketing and design services to area clients, including Trike Theater, The Local Table and Snack Lab.

She’s also a singer and songwriter for Americana duo The Weatherfolk. She and her husband started touring in 2010 in the United States. They toured internationally from 2011 to 2013.

The duo worked for the Methodist Church in Edinburgh, Scotland, and played at area churches, organizations and bars. They also helped to establish a church there.

Meanwhile, she completed design work on the side, and after moving back to the United States in 2013, she started her own business. She rebranded the company to Kind Creative Co. in 2018.

“It’s been fun to see how my skill set has evolved, and I’m doing something that I never really imagined doing when I graduated with an English degree from college,” she said. “It’s been empowering and fun to build my own business to be something that I really love doing.”

She earned bachelor’s degrees in English and communications from Lambuth University in Jackson, Tenn., in 2005. From 2006 to 2010, she was a marketing manager for architecture firm archimania in Memphis, Tenn.

In 2016, she co-founded the nonprofit Beer & Hymns as a music outlet and community fundraiser. She also serves on the host committee for Woman Run and has completed pro bono design work for area organizations. Along with music and singing, she enjoys cycling and photography.
