Industrial equipment supplier makes push into Arkansas
An industrial distributor and service company in Kansas has expanded to Arkansas with the acquisition of a business in Bella Vista.
C&B Equipment, headquartered in Wichita, purchased the assets of Ozark Pumps & Parts. The new company name is C&B Equipment Midwest, and president and majority owner Dennis Noyes says he’s planning to relocate the Bella Vista store elsewhere in Arkansas.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
“We are looking both at Russellville as well as Conway [for a relocation],” Noyes said. “But it’s very early in that process, and we don’t have a set timeline for opening a storefront.”
Noyes said the acquisition will expand C&B’s footprint to eastern Oklahoma as well. C&B now has 39 employees between Kansas locations in Wichita and Overland Park and two picked up through the Bella Vista acquisition. Noyes said former Ozark Pumps & Parts president and owner William “Bill” Carroll will train C&B Equipment’s new Arkansas and Oklahoma territory manager, Tommy Johnson, over the next six months.
“I didn’t want to hand over the reins to just anyone,” Carroll said. “Ozark Pumps & Parts has served industrial customers for over 20 years, and we’ve built many relationships. I wanted to ensure that our customers would continue to receive the personalized service and quality products that they need to keep their businesses going strong. C&B has also been in business for decades, and they share our values.”
C&B Equipment distributes and services industrial equipment such as pumps, air compressors, blowers and engines. It does work in Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and parts of Iowa, Illinois and Texas.
