Baptist Health Urgent Care opens in west Little Rock
Baptist Health Urgent Care opened Monday (Feb. 24) at 14524 Cantrell Road in west Little Rock.
The center is open seven days a week and offers evening hours during the work week. Walk-ins are welcome or online scheduling is available with the Hold My Spot app.
Baptist Health Urgent Care-Little Rock (West) assists with a variety of non-life-threatening health conditions and injuries, including:
• Asthma and allergies
• Ear and eye injuries
• Flu, colds and viral illnesses
• Bites, stings, allergic reactions
• Broken bones, sprains, strains
• Diarrhea, nausea and vomiting
• Urinary tract infections
• Medically supervised weight loss
• Skin conditions, including burns
• Stitches
• School, sports, wellness and DOT physicals
• Occupational health services
Nurse practitioners Heath Houtchens and Deshondra Ingram will lead the facility. Houtchens graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing from Harding University Carr College of Nursing in Searcy. His recent experience includes post-surgical care for orthopedic and spine patients.
Ingram, who earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University in Minneapolis, brings experience treating patients of all ages with a variety of healthcare needs.
There are eight Baptist Health Urgent Care centers throughout the state. All of the centers are open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Most insurance plans, including TRICARE and VA, Medicare and Medicaid, as well as cash and credit card are accepted.
