Arkansas Colleges of Health Education (ACHE) has hired Les Smith to be the institution’s chief business strategy officer. Smith will work directly for Kyle Parker, ACHE CEO, for vision, finance and business opportunities that will help the school grow, both on and off campus.

“I am thrilled to have Les join our fast-paced team. His wealth of experience in finance and banking make him a perfect fit to help create and develop our current and future business ventures,” Parker said.

Smith formerly served as the executive vice president and loan manager for Arvest Bank-Fort Smith, where he managed the commercial loan department and oversaw loan production and portfolio growth.

Smith has a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.  He serves on the LSU Banking School Board of Trustees and is a past board president of United Way of Fort Smith United Area.
