Keen & Co. purchases Fayetteville-based CPA

Springdale-based accounting firm Keen & Company CPAs PLLC has acquired the Fayetteville-based accounting practice of certified public accountant Wanda G. Lanier. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Lanier and her employees will continue to work with Keen & Co. to ensure a smooth transition for clients of the Fayetteville office at 2755 Kantz Drive, according to a news release.

“Keen & Co. holds the same values as my firm in being committed to providing top quality accounting, payroll and tax services,” Lanier said in a statement. “They also value service and treating clients like family.”

The move is a step toward retirement for Lanier, who has worked as a CPA for more than 30 years, mostly in Fayetteville. The deal will allow Keen & Co. to expand its accounting and tax services to more customers, said Jake Keen, managing partner for Keen & Co. Along with the Fayetteville office, the company also has offices at 814 W. Emma Ave. in Springdale and 201 S.W. 14th St., Suite 203, in Bentonville.

“I never thought I would own a practice in Fayetteville,” Keen said. “But Fayetteville has always been close to the heart of the firm. Three of our CPAs are alumni of Fayetteville High School, and four hold degrees from the University of Arkansas.”

Keen’s company has served clients in Northwest Arkansas for 29 years. A third location will allow it to work with area clients more conveniently, effectively and efficiently, he said. Keen & Co. offers accounting, payroll and tax services.

“We will all be working very hard to make the transition as smooth and effortless as possible and to make sure that the services clients expect will be continued without interruption,” Keen said.
