Arkansas Insurance Hall of Fame announces 2019 class

The Arkansas Insurance Hall of Fame has announced its 2019 class to be inducted Oct. 17.

The inductees are:

  • James Howard Atkins of Herrington Inc.;
  • Matthew Cashion of Cashion Company Inc.;
  • Daryl Coker of Spradley & Coker;
  • Gail James of Bituminous Insurance Cos.;
  • Ron Lensing of BancorpSouth; and
  • Jim Spradley of Spradley & Coker.

“Each of our honorees has left an indelible mark on the insurance industry in Arkansas, and is more than deserving of induction to the Arkansas Insurance Hall of Fame,” said Cynthia Burleson, director of the Center for Insurance and Risk Management in the University of Central Arkansas College of Business.

The 2019 Arkansas Insurance Hall of Fame Banquet will begin at 7 p.m. Oct. 17 at UCA’s HPER Center located at the corner of Farris Road and Student Lane. Tickets, table sponsorships and more information about the banquet can be found at arinsurancehof.org. Tickets can be purchased through Oct. 1.

The Arkansas Insurance Hall of Fame was created to recognize leaders of the insurance industry in Arkansas, and to remind the public of the important role insurance plays in securing the well-being of both individuals and businesses. The Hall of Fame is housed in the UCA College of Business, which offers the only insurance and risk management program in the state.
