Stephens Inc. hires managing director for East Coast investment banking group
Stephens Inc. has hired Frank Sorrentino IV as managing director within the Arkansas investment banking’s U.S. Depository Group on the East Coast, the company announced on Monday (July 1).
Sorrentino joins Stephens from Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, where he was responsible for origination and execution of depository mergers and acquisitions and capital offerings, with a focus on Mid-Atlantic and Northeast-based depository businesses. During his four-year tenure at the Stifel Nicolaus firm, he advised on transactions in excess of several billion dollars.
In his new role with Stephens, Sorrento will be based in New York, where he will focus on community and regional banks in the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic U.S. According to company officials, Stephen’s U.S. Depository Group has advised bank clients on more than 117 mergers and acquisitions and capital markets deals valued at more than $17.4 billion.
“The addition of Frank reflects our continued commitment to provide focused coverage and high-quality advisory services to community and regional banking markets across the U.S.,” said Stephens Executive Vice President Brad Eichler, who heads the Little Rock’s firm’s investment banking operations. “Frank has spent the majority of his career working with banks in the upper East Coast states. His wealth of industry and regional experience will play a significant role in serving our clients.”
