Forrest City-based Armor Bank has expanded into central Arkansas with a new Little Rock location.

The facility, located at 7401 Cantrell Road, is the first of Armor’s planned branches for the region. In 2018, the bank opened a loan production office in the Windriver Building on Cottondale Lane.

“Armor Bank has taken pride in serving eastern Arkansas customers for more than a century,” said Mark Waldrip, chairman of the board. “As we begin our statewide expansion, we look forward to providing this same high-quality service to central Arkansas.”

“As a locally-owned bank, our customers have come to see us as a trusted partner,” said Chad May, Armor Bank CEO. “We are excited about the opportunity to bring this same community focus to our Little Rock locations.”

Armor Bank was originally founded in 1919 as Forrest City Bank through its parent company, Forrest City Financial Corp. In 2016, Big Creek Bancshares, Inc. acquired the bank and changed its named to Armor Bank.

The bank has approximately $53 million in total assets.
