What’s your favorite quote? All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. — “Lord of the Rings” by J.R.R. Tolkien

What’s the biggest risk you’ve ever taken? The biggest risk I’ve taken is being a bootstrap entrepreneur for the past 12 years. By not taking outside capital, we’ve navigated the various stages of a company’s lifecycle — startup, morphing, growth and now scaling — with all the risk. I’ve experienced not taking a salary, getting down to our last $5,000 in our personal checking account, deciding to reinvest company profits over and over again, hustling to work more than a full-time job, and personally risking all that I have to secure debt financing.
