The Bank of Fayetteville (BOF), a division of Suttgart-based Farmers & Merchants Bank, has hired Blake Holzhauer as market president.

His first day will be Monday (July 30).

Holzhauer was previously Centennial Bank’s chief lending officer in Northwest Arkansas. He spent the past eight years working for the Conway-based bank.

“We’re excited to add Blake’s leadership and community involvement to the dedicated staff of professionals at The Bank of Fayetteville,” said Farmers and Merchants Bank President and CEO Gary Hudson. “We welcome him as part of our continuing desire to provide premier financial services to all our markets.”

Holzhauer is filling the job left vacant by Bob King, who was hired recently by Grand Savings Bank. He graduated from Arkansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in corporate finance. His education also includes Barret Graduate School of Banking at Christian Brothers University in Memphis.

BOF was chartered in 1987 and was acquired by Farmers and Merchants Bank in December 2015, bringing total assets to approximately $1 billion. It has five locations in Fayetteville and branches in West Fork, Prairie Grove and Farmington.
