Radiothon routinely raises funds for Arkansas Children’s Northwest in Springdale
EZ Spanish Media of Springdale was recognized Thursday (July 26) for its continued efforts to raise funds for Arkansas Children’s Northwest in Springdale.
Over the past nine years annual radiothons in Springdale and more recently in Little Rock have contributed $2 million for Arkansas Children’s. This year, radiothons in Springdale and Little Rock added $314,719 to the total pushing the organization just above the $2 million mark.
“We started this project with no particular goal, other than being able to bring a few more smiles to Arkansas Children’s patients,” Eddie Vega, owner of EZ Spanish Media, said in a statement. “With the help of our community, we are definitely accomplishing our mission. We know the money is put to good use, we love being able to contribute to this great cause.”
During the annual radiothon, patients and caregivers are interviewed throughout each day, putting into words the stories of Arkansas Children’s mission to champion children by making them better today and healthier tomorrow. Listeners were encouraged to call and make a donation to the hospital or become a “Miracle Maker” through ongoing monthly contributions.
“EZ Spanish Media has continued to be a valued partner in supporting Arkansas Children’s Hospital and the construction of Arkansas Children’s Northwest and have been long-time Children’s Miracle Network Hospital Partners. Thank you for your continued dedication to the more than 700,000 children across the state,” said Vanessa Delgadillo, director of annual gifts at Arkansas Children’s Foundation.
Arkansas Children’s Northwest opened in Springdale earlier this year and continues to be supported by the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Foundation with help from donors.
