Barlogie named Arkansas tourism development manager
Joy Barlogie is the new tourism development manager for the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism, according to a Monday (July 23) press release from the department. Barlogie previously served as account supervisor at CJRW, working primarily on the Arkansas Tourism account.
As tourism development manager, Barlogie will be responsible for the development and expansion of tourism within the state of Arkansas and establishing contacts and rapport with hospitality-related businesses and with local, state, and federal agencies involved in the tourism industry. She also will identify possible funding sources for tourism projects, administer three tourism grant programs, and consult with communities and organizations on behalf of the department.
During her time on the department’s account at CJRW, Barlogie was involved with creative development, media planning, public relations, and digital and online marketing development.
She also coordinated annual strategic planning sessions for the agency and developed the department’s annual marketing plans to continue to promote the state of Arkansas to national and international audiences. Barlogie worked at CJRW for approximately 6.5 years.
