Christi Pittman has been named president of employee benefits for Simmons First Insurance Services, a business of Pine Bluff-based Simmons Bank. Pittman was vice president of wealth management-employee benefits, working to grow the company’s client base in Arkansas.

In her new role, Pittman will lead the effort to expand employee benefits throughout the company’s service area, including Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas.

“This role is a perfect fit for Christi,” said Philip Tappan, executive vice president of financial services for Simmons Bank. “Her years of experience and attentive client work have helped increase the visibility of our group insurance programs. With Christi at the helm, I am confident our employee benefits group will further expand our product offerings to help existing clients and new customers protect their workforce, control costs and streamline services through the bundling of deposits, lending and more.”

Pittman started in the insurance industry in 2001 when she joined Transamerica and served as a member of the senior management team. In 2006, she became sales director for Delta Dental of Arkansas, and she was in that position for 10 years before joining Simmons. Pittman also was chief financial officer, consultant and president for three privately-held Arkansas companies and had practiced as a certified public accountant.

Simmons First Insurance Services operates under the banner of Simmons Wealth Management, with more than 150 financial professionals providing products and services to help protect and grow customer assets.
