Made by Few conference set for Oct. 25-27 in Little Rock
The sixth-annual Made by Few Conference, aimed at “educating and inspiring designers, developers, entrepreneurs and marketers,” is planned for Oct. 25-27 at the CALS Ron Robinson Theater in Little Rock.
The event will feature discussions, workshops and interactive elements and is organized by the Little Rock-based design and development agency Few.
Speakers have not yet been made public, but their backgrounds include experience at Pentagram, Buzzfeed, Stanford’s Design for America Chapter, The New York Times, Variety, The Wall Street Journal, Google for Education, and For All Womankind, according to Few.
Elizabeth Strandberg, event manager for the company, said eight speakers have been confirmed so far, and there are plans to add several more. In the coming weeks, the company will launch an event website, designed by Charles and Thorn, a Brooklyn-based, husband-and-wife design team composed of Kelly Thorn and Spencer Charles, Strandberg said.
The Arkansas-based conference tripled in attendance size in its first five years, starting with 100 in 2012 and growing to more than 300 in 2017. Organizers are planning for 350 this year, Strandberg said.
“We want to keep it intimate and relational,” she said. “We want people to be able to network, meet the speakers and really engage with the content and not feel overwhelmed by the size of the conference. … We’re not pushing for big attendance. We want great content and a great experience.”
Previous conferences have featured speakers from design and technology companies including Google Ventures, PayPal and Facebook, according to Few.
