RevUnit of Bentonville and Team SI of Little Rock were named in Entrepreneur magazine’s third-annual 360 list for 2017, representing the magazine’s choices for “Best Entrepreneurial Companies in America.“

Entrepreneur magazine of Irvine California published the list in December. Honorees were chosen based on their scores in four metrics – innovation, growth, leadership and impact – and were identified through a study of independently-owned companies, by using a proprietary algorithm, according to a press release from the publication.

Rev Unit was ranked in the No. 159 spot, and Team SI was No. 314.

“I’m proud of the incredible work our team has done to earn RevUnit recognition among such an exclusive list of innovative businesses,” Joe Saumweber, co-founder and CEO at RevUnit, said, according to a blog post on the company’s website. “There’s still more to be done to help enterprises build a better future of work, and we’re only just getting started.”

The software company – which specializes in mobile applications and software that “transform enterprises,” according to Entrepreneur – acquired the startup Teamwork in the past year, doubling its presence in Las Vegas, and it also was named to the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing companies this year. RevUnit now has 32 employees.

“It’s incredible to think that in just a handful of years, we’ve grown from a two-person operation to a cross-country team of technologists on the Entrepreneur 360 list and working with some of the world’s largest brands,” Michael Paladino, co-founder and CTO, said in the blog post. “We expect continued momentum as we focus on bringing the latest technology to solve the toughest enterprise transformation challenges.”

Team SI is a data-driven marketing firm and, according to Entrepreneur magazine, is notable because it “coined the term ‘TraDigital,’ the art of blending traditional and digital marketing.”

“Data and innovation are at the core of everything we do,” Tim Whitley, founder and CEO, said in a Team SI press release. “Our passion for fresh ideas and our ability to change allows us to execute ideas quickly and deliver better results faster than other marketing firms.”

The company has grown exponentially since its founding in 2010, increasing its staff by 3,600% with a client retention rate of 93%, according to the company. It now has 47 employees. Team SI was named to Fortune magazine’s Inner City 100 list in 2016 and Inc. Magazine’s 500/5000 list two years in a row, in 2015 and 2016.

“Our annual evaluation is a 360-degree analysis of top privately-held companies representing and serving a variety of industries,” Lisa Murray, chief insights officer of Entrepreneur Media, said in the Entrepreneur magazine release. “Every year we review a new batch of entries that reflect great entrepreneurial strides. The ones that make the list have implemented visionary initiatives impacting their communities for the better, innovative ideas redefining industry standards, leadership practices fostering enviable company cultures, and creative growth strategies launching their brands to new heights.”

Forty states were represented on the list. The average revenue growth for the companies was 143% since 2015, and the companies secured a collective $1.8 billion in funding from venture capital and traditional lending, according to the magazine. Down slightly from last year, employee growth over three years was an average of 49.5%.
