Little Rock-based Arkansas Heart Hospital has added to its statewide network with the acquisition of the Malvern Diagnostic Clinic.

Financial terms were not disclosed in a news release sent Wednesday (Jan. 10).

Arkansas Heart Hospital Clinic-Malvern Diagnostic Clinic will continue to serve as a primary care clinic, and will add cardiology to its list of service lines.

Arkansas Heart Hospital physicians will lead the Malvern facility at 2223 Grant St., along with Dr. Dylan Thaxton, Dr. Bruce Burton and Amy Miller APN. The clinic will offer cardiac care including early heart screenings, heart disease testing, vein and vascular care and more.

“Arkansas Heart Hospital is committed to providing convenient, quality cardiac care throughout the state,” Dr. Bruce Murphy, CEO and president of Arkansas Heart Hospital, said in the release. “The merger will provide the Malvern community with access to our internationally renowned cardiologists without having to travel far for the best care.”

Thaxton is a family practice specialist and Burton is an internal medicine specialist. Combined they have more than 50 years of experience.

Arkansas Heart Hospital operates 30 clinics throughout the state, seven catheterization labs, three heart-operating suites and a 24-hour emergency center.
