Alan Jackson, Chicago coming to Verizon Arena in 2018

Country music star Alan Jackson and the rock band Chicago have announced upcoming performances at Verizon Arena in North Little Rock. Tickets will be available starting Friday [Nov. 17], according to the venue.

Jackson, a recent Country Music Hall of Fame inductee, will perform Jan. 20 at 7:30 p.m. as part of his “Honky Tonk Highway Tour.”

The singer-songwriter’s hit songs include “Chattahoochee,” “Gone Country” and “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere.”

Of his recent induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame, Jackson said, “For a man who loves country music there is no higher honor,” according to a Verizon Arena press release.

Jackson has won three Country Music Awards Entertainer of the Year honors, a 2016 Billboard ranking as one of the Top 10 Country Artists of All-Time, induction to the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Heritage Award as the most-performed country songwriter-artist of American Society of Composers, Authors Publishers’ first 100 years, according to the press release.

He has released more than 60 singles with more than 50 top-10 hits, sold nearly 60 million albums worldwide and ranks as one of the 10 best-selling male vocalists of all-time, according to the Verizon Arena. He has earned more than 150 music industry awards, including 18 Academy of Country Music Awards, 16 CMAs, two Grammy Awards and ASCAP’s Founders and Golden Note awards.

Chicago will perform 7:30 p.m. May 13 in The Theater @ Verizon Arena.

Active since 1967, Chicago has sold more than 40 million albums in the U.S., according to the Recording Industry Association of America. The band has had five consecutive No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 and 20 top-10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100.

The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016.

Prices for Alan Jackson range from $39.99 to $129.99, and prices for Chicago tickets are between $50 and $90. There is an eight-ticket limit, according to the venue.
