Tech companies, food vendors, bands announced for AMP Fest in Rogers

AMP Fest, an event that mixes technology demonstrations, beer, music and food, is planned for Saturday (Oct. 14) from 4-9 p.m. at the Walmart AMP in Rogers.

Attendees will be able to try out tech from Samsung, PlayStation, Rockfish, Zebra, Promark, Merge Virtual Reality and Shine Solar, according to the AMP.

Activities include virtual reality brewery tours, a 360-degree camera photo booth, 3-D printing, PlayStation PS4 virtual reality games, RFID football toss, augmented reality with The Merge Cube, Raspberry Pi, solar panels and drone demonstrations, according to a press release.

Food vendors include The Purple Banana, IDK Café, Hickory Hollow Smokehouse and Smokin’ Hawg.

About 20 breweries and 60 beers will be available, and there will be live music on three stages.

The lineup includes John Paul White, David Shaw & Zak Feinberg (The Revivalists), Adam Faucett, Opal Agafia and the Sweet Nothings, Goose, Will Brand, Vulpî, DJ Abboriginal and AttA.

The Arkansas Razorbacks game and other televised NCAA games will be played in real-time in the Cox Football Lounge, according to the release.

Single tickets are $45 each and include a collectable glass for beer sampling and access to all music stages, the Cox Football Lounge, tech activations and games. A limited number of ticket 4-packs also are available for $125, according to the AMP.

All proceeds from the event go to support Walton Arts Center’s arts education programs.
