Experience Fayetteville, the city’s visitors bureau, has hired Jordan Garcia as general manager of the Fayetteville Town Center.

Garcia has more than 13 years’ experience in nonprofit, event services and hospitality, according to a press release from Experience Fayetteville.

“Jordan’s career is marked with accomplishments that demonstrate that he is focused on exceeding expectations and goals, as well as bringing new ideas to organizations,” Molly Rawn, executive director of Experience Fayetteville, said in the release. “His energy and expertise will be great assets as we usher in a new phase for the Fayetteville Town Center.”

Most recently, Garcia was director of resource development at the United Way of Northwest Arkansas in Lowell. Before that, he was nonprofit and social sales manager at John Q. Hammons Hotels in Rogers, according to his LinkedIn page. He worked in event services for the company from 2007 to 2014.

His volunteer work includes serving as event chair and development advisor for Youth Bridge from 2010 to 2015.

“The Town Center is an iconic venue for our city, and it has been the backdrop for countless events during the years,” Garcia said in the release. “I’m honored to be entrusted with this responsibility and look forward to the future success we will share with the people and guests of Fayetteville.”

Garcia is a member of the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s 2014 Fast 15 class.
