Business World names Stephen Carlisle CEO

Little Rock-based Business World has announced a succession plan resulting in the appointment of longtime employee Stephen Carlisle as CEO. Carlisle is the oldest son of founder and former CEO Jerry Carlisle, 66, who launched the business in 1977.

“I have watched my father lead this company since I was a young child,” said Stephen. “What I learned from him is that passion, focus and honesty lead to happy customers and a healthy business. What’s exciting about becoming the CEO is the opportunity to build upon what my father has already established.”

Business World offers consultation for office equipment as well as digital solutions, with an increasing focus on cyber-security and data management.

Stephen Carlisle, 38, is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University. He said he plans to continue expanding the company’s efforts to support local and regional non-profit organizations and causes.

In addition to its Little Rock headquarters, Business World also has an office in Jonesboro. The company has 45 full-time employees.
