Garlington promoted to senior vice president at George’s Inc.
George’s Inc. has promoted Robert Garlington to senior vice president of operations with expanded responsibilities.
A 30-year veteran of the food industry, Garlington joined the Springdale-based poultry company in 2014 as vice president of operations to oversee the company’s production and processing facilities in Arkansas and Missouri. The promotion will add the responsibilities of operations in Virginia as well.
“Robert’s experience with successful management of multi-site locations makes him a logical choice for this important position,” said Carl George, co-CEO and co-president of George’s. “In addition to that experience, Robert has earned this promotion by consistently meeting the needs of our customers and building strong relationships with contract growers and suppliers.”
Garlington says he looks forward to the new opportunities this expanded role will bring.
“I’m excited about adding our operations in Virginia to my responsibilities,” he said. “I look forward to engaging with our employees, growers and customers in that state as we continue to work every day to provide quality products and services.”
