Allen Lowry joins USA Truck as vice president of safety and risk management
USA Truck has appointed Allen Lowry as vice president of safety and risk management. The Van Buren-based carrier announced the appointment on Thursday (July 27).
Lowry joined the company after working for more than 25 years in safety, risk management and leadership in the transportation industry. He previously worked as vice president of safety, security, OS&D and risk management for Navajo Express Inc.
“Safety is our No. 1 priority at USA Truck,” President and CEO James Reed said. “We are thrilled that Allen chose to help us continue to build a strong safety culture throughout our organization, and to create one of the safest fleets in the transportation industry. Allen is the latest addition to the all-star leadership team we have assembled here at USA Truck, and we believe he will be a tremendous asset with his extensive experience in safety and risk management.”
Lowry has worked in leadership positions at Swift Transportation, Central Refrigerated Service and Dick Simon Trucking. He’s NATMI certified, studied law at Weber State University and was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves, JAG.
