World Trade Center Arkansas partners with Exim Bank as REPP participant
The World Trade Center Arkansas in Rogers has partnered with the Export-Import Bank of the United States (Exim Bank) to participate in the Regional Export Promotion Program (REPP), a joint effort between the bank and regional organizations with a goal of stimulating U.S. export sales.
“We are constantly pursuing comprehensive strategies to fulfill our mission to serve Arkansas companies,” Dan Hendrix, president and CEO of the World Trade Center Arkansas, said in a statement. “Our clients are mostly small businesses who need the type of support we can offer through this partnership.”
Exim Bank is an export credit agency that’s backed by the federal government, and its primary purpose is to help companies makes sales of foreign products to foreign buyers. It’s often a preferred and valuable destination for small businesses when compared to private sector banks, which are sometimes unable or unwilling to provide financing.
In addition to financial resources, the bank will also provide education and developmental programming for various industries.
“It will be a pleasure to work with the World Trade Center Arkansas to develop a strong program for exporters in the state of Arkansas,” said Aerek Stephens, program manager for REPP. “This will include hosting and participating in several export finance seminars throughout the year and referring qualified leads and conducting joint business calls with Exim Bank regional staff.”
