Executive leadership additions continue at USA Truck
USA Truck has hired Rick Hainlen as vice president of revenue operations. The Van Buren-based carrier announced Hainlen’s appointment Wednesday (May 31).
Hainlen’s hiring is the latest in a series of additions to the company’s executive leadership team. USA Truck has appointed a new president and CEO, CFO, chief technical officer and human resources executive within the last five months, hoping to improve its financials and revitalize the company.
In its most recent earnings report, USA Truck posted a first-quarter income loss of $4.89 million for the period ended March 31. That followed a full-year 2016 loss of $7.69 million.
“With all respect to the incredible talent we’ve added to our leadership team in the past 60 days, Rick may be the most significant addition we’ve made,” president and CEO James D. Reed said in a statement. “He is widely recognized as one of the most talented and experienced pricing leaders in the truckload sector.”
Hainlen worked previously at Charlotte, N.C.-based Red Classic Transportation Services as director of yield management and network optimization. He held similar jobs with several carriers, according to a news release, including P.A.M. Transportation, Celadon Group, CFI and Anderson Trucking Service.
“We’re extremely fortunate to have him on the USA Truck team,” Reed added.
Shares of USA Truck (NASDAQ: USAK) closed Tuesday at $6.70, down 2 cents. In the past 52 weeks, the stock has traded between $20.64 and $5.73.
