Tab Benoit, J.J. Grey and Mofro, Gov’t Mule to headline King Biscuit Blues Festival in Helena
The 32nd annual King Biscuit Blues Festival is set for Oct. 5-7 in Helena.
This year’s headliners are Tab Benoit, J.J. Grey and Mofro and Gov’t Mule, according to a press release from Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism.
Tab Benoit will perform Oct. 5. Other performers include Mississippi Bigfoot, Arkansas native and Rockabilly Hall of Fame honoree Sonny Burgess, Sterling Billingsley, Chris O’Leary (formerly with the Barnburners), Rodney Block and Joe Louis Walker.
J.J. Grey and Mofro will perform on the main stage on Oct. 6 and so will Dylan Bishop, Tracy Nelson, Reba Russell, Nikki Hill, Anson Funderburgh & The Rockets, Paul Thorn.
On the Lockwood-Stackhouse stage that night, there will be performances by Mississippi Spoonman, the Akeem Kemp Band, Leo “Bud” Welch, the C.W. Gatlin Band, Wampus Cats, Veronika Jackson, Big George Brock & His Houserockers and the James “Taildragger” Jones Band.
On Oct. 7, main stage acts include headliners Gov’t Mule, and also Marcus Cartwright, Kenny Smith, Bob Stroger & Bob Margolin, Jack Pearson, Bruce Katz, Andy T. & Alabama Mike and Larry McCray. Performers on the Lockwood-Statehouse stage are the DuWayne Burnside Band, the Rev. John Wilkins Band, Jimmy “Duck” Holmes, Libby Rae Watson and Deak Harp.
