An Arkansas retailer and Texas manufacturer are teaming up to produce two new “bed-in-a-box” products to capitalize on the growing online mattress sales market.

The RiteBed will be produced at the Fort Worth Sleeptronic facility and sold online through Perryville-based Bedding Mart. The two companies have invested nearly two years in research and development to deliver what they believe to be “the most feature-rich, American-made, quick order and setup mattress” on the online market.

According to RiteBed CEO Brad Jordan, the product will come in two forms — an all-foam and a hybrid. The all-foam will feature support layers for customers who want to sleep “in the mattress,” Jordan said, while the hybrid (No. 2) will feature the same support layers and a fabric-wrapped spring for those wanting to sleep “on top of the mattress … for significant pressure relief.”

“We operate a chain of stores — and the in-store environment is a good choice for some consumers,” Jordan said. “However, today’s consumers are moving online in a major way, so we partnered with our top supplier, Sleeptronic, to develop a product line that shop-at-home customers will love. Bedding Mart operates more than a dozen stores across a three-state area.

Sleeptronic is a family-owned mattress manufacturer that operates a more than 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Fort Worth. The company manufactures more than 1,000 mattresses a day and serves furniture and mattress stores nationwide as well as hotels, motels and, online customers.

“Our advanced manufacturing capabilities produce products that are designed to appeal to a broad range of consumers, with a focus on delivering exceptional values,” said Anthony Klatt, director of sales & marketing for Sleeptronic. “We’re on top of industry trends and as such are honored to be chosen to manufacture the RiteBed.”
