First Security eyes Centerton
The growth strategy for First Security Bank in Northwest Arkansas will go through Centerton.
Adam Rutledge, president and CEO of the Searcy-based bank’s NWA market, said construction of a new banking center there will start after the first of the year. The 0.80-acre site, at the southwest corner of Greenhouse Road and Arkansas Highway 102, was acquired recently for $573,160.
A Centerton location will add to FSB’s existing network of six Benton County branches in Rogers (3), Bentonville (2) and Lowell.
According to the FDIC, Arvest Bank, Bank of Gravett and First National Bank of NWA — a division of First National Bank of Fort Smith — are the only lenders that operate a branch in Centerton, one of the fastest-growing cities in Arkansas.
