Walton Enterprises hires Rogers attorney

Have you heard Walton Enterprises LLC, the business that manages the family’s sizeable fortune, has hired Rogers attorney Sean (pronounced seen) Evans as its in-house counsel?

Kiki McLean, a spokeswoman for the family, confirmed the hiring, and said Evans assumed the role in September. McLean didn’t elaborate much on the scope of Evans’ job, only that he would be coordinating legal services for the organization.

Evans spent the past five years at the Rogers office of Friday, Eldridge & Clark LLP, practicing corporate law, tax and mergers and acquisitions. He served as outside counsel to a number of closely held businesses in Northwest Arkansas, including NanoMech Inc. of Springdale and Specialized Real Estate Group of Fayetteville.

McLean, incidentally, may be a familiar name to those with a political bent. A longtime Democratic strategist, she is a veteran of numerous campaigns for Bill and Hillary Clinton, and was also a spokeswoman for Al Gore’s 2000 presidential campaign.
