A Washington County judge has ordered a Bentonville woman to pay back the money she stole from her former employer.

Elizabeth Millard, 41, was to stand trial starting Oct. 24, but instead pleaded guilty to two felony counts of theft of property and fraudulent use of a credit card. She was accused of stealing more than $105,000 over a 15-month period (February 2014-May 2015) from her former boss, Fayetteville physician Josh Roller, owner of Roller Weight Loss and Advanced Surgery.

In 2014, Roller sued Millard on Aug. 10 and Bentonville police arrested her on Oct. 14.

Millard was sentenced by Washington County Circuit Judge Mark Lindsay to 30 days in jail, followed by 90 days of community service. Millard must also pay $105,263 in restitution at a rate of $500 a month, beginning Jan. 1, 2017.

Millard was ordered to report to the Washington County Detention Center on Nov. 7.

When reached by telephone, Roller told the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal he was glad to have the case closed.

“I’m happy with the outcome, and my hope is that this doesn’t happen to anyone else,” he said.
