U.S. Sen. John Boozman, R-Ark., has made his first television ad buy of the campaign season – a two-week, $300,000 buy in all statewide television markets, including Memphis.

The ad, “Count on John,” says Boozman has supported veterans, protected Social Security and Medicare, improved education, and helped businesses. It can be viewed here.

The ad says Boozman “has traveled all across our state getting to know us and listening to our problems.” According to supporting documentation provided by the campaign, Boozman has made 726 uniques visits to the state’s 75 counties since taking office in January 2011.

The ad does not mention Boozman’s opponents in the November election: Democrat Conner Eldridge and Libertarian Frank Gilbert. Eldridge has attempted to make an issue of Boozman’s out-of-state travels as a senator.

Eldridge and Gilbert are scheduled to debate in Fayetteville Friday, with Boozman not attending. Boozman has said he will participate only in a televised debate sponsored by AETN.
